As a Danella Division Manager overseeing the expansion of a broader communications division, Andrew DeFlavis is responsible for managing all aspects of communications projects for multiple carriers including the day-to-day operations of the division as well as business development.
Andrew works closely with the client, design engineers, and other Danella divisions and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed with the highest possible quality.
He has experienced the rise of wireless communications by building and climbing towers for the past 25 years. After joining Danella in 2021, Andrew worked as the Area Manager for DLSI on Verizon projects before beginning work on the new Danella Communications Services division in 2022. In the two years since, he has been responsible for the completion of a multitude of tower, small cell, and fiber projects for several major carriers. The knowledge and workmanship of his crews has made his team the go to for clients when it comes to troubleshooting and maintenance on their networks as well.
When he started his career working on radio & TV broadcasting towers, Andrew couldn’t have imagined what would happen between 2002 and 2012 when the cell phone boom hit. In those days, he traveled across the country installing new cell phone towers to build brand-new networks for all the major carriers.
He saw the rise of 3G, 4G, and now 5G networks, working each time to upgrade the systems on the towers and infrastructure to support the newest phones. Today he continues that work with towers, small cell projects which provide coverage to urban areas, underground fiber, and even systems designed to provide coverage to large buildings in need of private networks.
After joining Danella in 2021, he worked to build out a new wireless communications business model. This has been so successful that he is now heading up the Danella Communications Services Division with the goal to expand the business beyond Philadelphia and New York City markets.
